Be confident in His leading
The age we live in is one of a wealth of knowledge. The plethora of knowledge also brings forth an overwhelming influx of opinions. While some perspectives may be insightful, many others will deter one from acting out their own thoughts, desires, and passions from God. Do not let the suppression of the religious and deaf ears quench the fire of God in you!
Immaturity vs. Disobedience
Over the years, God has humbled me, shifting my perspective towards those who are young in their faith. As someone who hadn’t fully surrendered their life to Christ the day I asked Him to be my Savior, I lived lukewarm. I wanted to call myself Christian, yet I thought, acted, and sounded like the world.
War within the Church
One of my greatest passions to speak or write about arose from one of my greatest frustrations - division amongst followers of Christ.
The Church is so at war with itself, it is unable to accomplish with power and efficiency the purpose to which it exists.
An Acceptable offering
As we approach April, churches begin to grow excited as Easter or (what I like to call) Resurrection Sunday draws nearer. If your church is anything like mine, the topics of first fruits and giving arise. The story of Cain and Abel is a widely used passage for this topic, and many times it is misinterpreted. What kind of story is God trying to tell?
